The New Jersey and Connecticut Choral Societies joined forces to perform Carl Off’s Carmina Burana under the baton of Maestro Eric Dale Knapp on June 4, 2016 in Ridgewood, New Jersey. This was the first Master Works Performance Series for The Festival Youth Chorus since its inception in 2015. The group also performed Carmina Burana in Connecticut with The Connecticut Choral Society earlier that spring.

estival of Lessons and Carols
The New Jersey Choral Society and its Festival Youth Chorus perform “Festival of Lessons and Carols”, December 4, 2018, in celebration of the 100th anniversary of the worldwide tradition of Lessons and Carols, begun in 1918 in response to the end of World War I by The Cambridge Singers of Kings College, England. The Festival Youth Chorus performed Song of the Angel, by Mark Sirett, an eight minute acapella 4-part treble piece with movement and aleatoric technique. Noelle Dachis also conducted the combined groups in a number of holiday pieces.
usic prodigy wins High School Composition Contest
Wen Wen Van Der Wende, private student of Noelle Dachis in music theory and vocal study, and composer scholar for The New Jersey Choral Society, wins The Hamonium Choral Society Composition Contest, September 2019. Wen Wen is currently studying music composition with a vocal emphasis on a full tuition scholarship at Hartford University in Connecticut.. She credits Noelle Dachis with inspiring her interest in music composition.
