"I started taking music theory lessons and choir from Mrs. Dachis when I was eleven. When I was twelve, she encouraged me to start composing, launching me off into my biggest life interest. During my high school years, Mrs. Dachis worked closely with me to help me become a well-rounded musician, teaching me music theory, composition, and singing. I took vocal lessons and sang in the New Jersey Choral Society Festival Youth Chorus under her direction. For college, I am studying music composition with a vocal concentration at The Hartt School (University of Hartford.)
Mrs. Dachis is an enthusiastic and charismatic teacher who lifts young students up to an unexpectedly-high level of achievement. She is detail-oriented in teaching the technical aspects of singing and how they developed historically. She also recognizes the importance of theory and teaches it as the foundation of performance. Potentially, she is a life-changing teacher for your prospective student. "

"I have been taking voice lessons with Noelle for about two years now. I cannot truly express how thankful I am that our paths crossed. Over the past two years Noelle has helped my voice grow and develop immeasurably. I could spend this time talking about her vast knowledge, wonderful teaching style, and innate ability to know exactly what I need as a singer, which of course is extremely important however, something that has made an even bigger impact on me and my ability to develop my voice and myself as a musician is her ability to instill confidence in me. One of my biggest obstacles was that I had zero confidence in my abilities and that stopped me from being able to move forward. Noelle spent some of our time in lessons listening to me just talk about my fear and anxieties and she developed and adjusted her teaching style to suit me. Through devotion and genuine interest in me and what I needed as a person and not just a singer she was able to help me grow as a musician and as a person by leaps and bounds. I am so proud to say that our choir just had a concert in March in which I had a small solo. The fact that I actually auditioned and got the solo is so huge for me and it's mostly due to the absolutely wonderful instruction and kindness of Noelle!"
